# Mapping to custom properties

- We’re on free HubSpot
- We’re APing with another system so that information pulls through into HubSpot
- We’ll need to map to **custom HubSpot properties** , since HubSpot does not have standard properties for all the fields we need to map across
- Is this possible?
- If yes: is it possible on free HubSpot, or what level of paid HubSpot would be needed?
- Or - could we pay HubSpot a one-off development fee to customise our free version so that these ‘custom’ properties become standard ones?

- All account tiers can create Custom Properties
- Free accounts are limited to 10 custom properties and Starter, Pro, Enterprise have a limitation of 1000. - I am not aware of a service or add-on to customize a free portal in the manner you are wanting.

Thanks Jaycee - however the links you’ve provided don’t confirm whether we  
can map to a custom HubSpot property.  
To clarify, in the connected system we have a field for ‘Customer Industry’.  
There is no ‘Customer Industry’ property in HubSpot - so we created a  
custom one.  
Will we be able to map to that custom property, via the API, with the free  
version of HubSpot?
