Manually reconnect Hubspot to Web Domain

My Hubspot profile was previously used for an old business – now I’m using it for an entirely new/different business, so I changed the profile name in my Hubspot account to the new business name. But when I create quote documents now, I see that the quote url still represents/includes my old business name instead of my new business name.

Hubspot support told me I need to manually reconnect Hubspot to my website hosting. After several chats with Hubspot support (not very helpful) and reading through the instructions (a little confusing), I am unable to get the connection to work.

The goal is to have my Hubspot-generated content (such as quote documents) have a url something like example.mybusinessdomainname.com.

I have taken the required data from Hubspot during the domain connection process and entered that required data into a new cname in my website hosting cpanel, then waited over 48 hours for propagation – it’s still not working. For the connection of Hubspot to your business website domain name, can someone send me an image of how you have that particular cname set up? Thanks.

Hey @AWilliams73-- Thanks for your post! I apologize that you haven’t been able to get this resolved with Support.

Could you post some screenshots of your domain configuration in your DNS along with the records HubSpot provided? This Knowledge Base article has walkthroughs for most DNS providers as well. Let me know what steps you followed and we can dig into this together!

Best,
Kennedy

Thanks, but HostGator was able to solve the problem, so this discussion can be closed.
