Hello All!

I’m creating a Google App Script that will use my Gmail email address to send email to few prospects from a list in a Google Sheet.

I’m using the Google App’s GmailApp class to create the email, add my signature, add the HubSpot CRM log as bcc, etc.

I want to manually add the code snippet of the email tracking, but I couldn’t find it anywhere.

Is there a way I could manually add a code to an email I’m sending that will allow HubSpot to track it? or is it available only through sending it from Hubspot or using Gmail’s extension?

Thanks!

Hello @asafnevo

Tracking an email on HubSpot is only available when sent directly from HS. But I think that its possible to track the emails sent from gmail, outlook, office 365 if you connect your inbox through HubSpot chrome sales extension.

For more details, please check this [POST](https://www.hubspot.com/sales/email-tracking-guide)
To connect with sales extension, read more on [How to install hubspot sales extension](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/articles/kcs_article/settings/how-to-install-hubspot-sales)

Thanks

It doesn’t fully work tho. If I create a draft email in GMail via an API and send it via the user interface of GMail, it still doesn’t track the email. It seems like the extension only works if you create an email with “Compose” button but won’t add a tracking pixel to already created emails.

Hi,

I am using a python script to send a automated follow-up mail to selected customers that email me. I use the hubspot bcc option to log the email in the client account. How do I insert a hubspot tracker in the email code to track whether the client has opened the mail?

best,

ray

I am doing the same. Did you get any workaround for doing this?

The tracking pixel looks like this:

`<img width="1" height="1" style="display:none" alt="" src="https://t.sidekickopen04.com/s3t/o/5/f18dQhb0S7n28bp_z8W5jHQkK2zGCvGW40Fv_600000VzJsdVcGjW4XyJ_-56dQb2dsM00z02?si=8000000020100194&pi=d5578900-7ad5-465d-932d-cd3787790000">`

I believe its generated via the Hubspot Sales extension. Haven’t found a way to generate a pixel myself yet.
