Hi HubSpot team,
I’d love to see more control over property values in the manual deal creation form, especially for Pipeline.
In our case, all new deals should be created in the “Main Pipeline” pipeline, while sales reps still need access to existing deals in other pipelines.
What would really help is either:
- the ability to set a default Pipeline value for manual deal creation,
- or the ability to force/lock a Pipeline value so users can’t change it when creating a deal manually.
This is important for us because our API automations and external apps use the pipeline value immediately when the deal is created, so changing it afterward is too late.
While Pipeline is the main need in our case, this would also be useful for other properties and potentially for other objects/modules too.
This would help improve:
- data consistency,
- process compliance,
- and integration reliability right at record creation.
