Mandatory Fields when creating a deal

When a deal is created there is a mandatory field asking “Closed won” why would this field be there when creating a deal? You don’t have a clue whether you have won the deal or not. So the answer every time is NO otherwise it won’t let you create the deal. Secondly, when you move a deal to Await PO it again asks you “closed won reason”, its NOT closed yet, so why ask?

• Properties seen when creating a deal:
  • Set properties that appear for all users when creating contact, company, and deal records
• Properties when moving stage:
  • Set up and customize your deal pipelines and deal stages
