I have created a pick list that is linked to all product properties as it describes the type of sale i.e. new or renewal etc. I would like to make this field mandatory but this currently isn’t possible. ---

Agreed, allowing us to make fields mandatory when building line items would help with a number of triggers/automations once a deal closes. ---

Agreed, we tie our revenue breakdown by LOB to our deals as line item, but no one uses it properly or accurately because it’s not a required field. Please change this!!! ---

This is needed ASAP, it would be good also if you can make certain properties mandatory when a deal gets to a certain stage ---

Without this, the work with line items is not reliable, as each user can decide what to fill in and what not. Please assist. ---

Mandatory properties on Products are ‘table stakes’ as we transition clients off Salesforce. Mandatory Product Properties are extremely important to building a robust and consistent Product Library which is key to smoothing CPQ for Manufacturers and Distributors allowing sales teams to issue accurate quotes as part of their Deals. When quotes are accepted and flow through to the ERPs like SAP and Dynamics (we use our own HubSpot to SAP integration tool) any human errors in the quoted line items create a ‘rinse cycle’ which is very BAD. ---
