Currently when creating a Deal there is the option to display Assosciations and the option to make an Assosciation mandatory or not on the deal creation form. Could this feature be enhanced to allow the Associations to be a conditonal propert based on the Deal Stage. This would be a benefital feature as in our buisness process, we may not always have an indiviudal contact at the onset of a Deal while it is a “Lead” so we would not want to make the Associated Contact mandatory. However, by the time the deal reaches the stage of “Won” or “Closed” in our system we would like to have the ability to make the Contact Assosciation manadatory while changing the stage based on a condiitonal property.
Similar to how HubSpot allows the requirement of properties to be present when moving deal stage, the ability to require at least 1 associated company, or 1 associated contact to the deal would be beneficial to assist in standardizing usage.
I would like to be able to require certain objects to associated before moving deals along in the pipeline. I know you can do it with a checkbox, but it’s not clear in the way I would like it to be.
Ie. I want to require reps to associate a deal with a company, or associate line items with a deal before they move it to a specific stage. Right now, reps can move deals along the pipeline without any associations, which is not helpful for our causes!

More and more, we are encountered with the need to mandate associations when moving deals/tickets/custom objects along the pipeline. Mandated associations “post record creation”, the same way we can mandate properties to be updated based on a pipeline stage.
This means, we already have the mandated associations when creating a new record and we wish that we could for example mandate the association of a ticket with a custom object and/or deal before we close the ticket.
This association cannot be mandated from the creation of the ticket record.
Hello! I’m wondering if it’s possible to require that a deal have at least one associated company after the first stage of our sales pipeline. In some cases, the company isn’t known yet when the deal is at this first stage, but we want to be able to require that deals have at least one associated company before moving forward.

It would be really beneficial if we were able to set a mandatory requirement for line items to have been added to a deal, based on the deal stages.
Currently the only option we have is at the point of deal creation, but this is most often not a suitable time as the deal is till being qualified and refined.
As a result we often have gaps in our data, but it is crucial that line items are added in order to calculate additional revenue metrics, as well as reporting on what is being sold.
The only solution I’ve come up with is to add a property that users update to state the line items ares accurate (but nothing stops them from updating this and moving forward regardless).
I’m sure we are not the only company this is affecting.

Most recent client’s use case:
- When deal moves into closed won, force them to associate a contact with the association type “referrer”
Super important for us. I want to require our sales team to add a “partner” association at specific stages if they choose “referred” as the deal source. Deals won’t always be added manually so would like the ability to require it at a later stage.
Currently, HubSpot does not offer a way to set record associations as a requirement under specific deal pipeline stages, similar to how properties can be configured. It would be incredibly beneficial to have functionality that allows users to enforce record associations (e.g., contacts or companies) at certain deal stages as part of pipeline requirements.
This feature would help ensure consistency and streamline workflow processes across teams. Adding this capability would be a valuable enhancement to the pipeline stage setup.
