I have a CTA banner on my website while our customer portal is down for maintenance. On the banner I have a button which contains a email address link. On mobile it is works as intended, but on desktop the button doesn’t do anything when you click it.
Any advice or guidance would be appreciated.

Typically, when I’ve come across this, it’s not an issue with the actual link itself; it’s because the browser relies on the system to have a default mail client set. So in this case, if you typically use a webmail, there’s a possibility that a default mail client isn’t set, and it won’t load webmail unless you have specifically set it to do that.
It works on mobile because email is typically using an application, even Gmail, which would be webmail on a computer.
Have you tried in multiple browsers or from multiple computers?
It could be something else, but this would be the most common issue.
