Looking for feedback: I adapted a Salesforce UTM attribution app for HubSpot

I’m looking for some honest feedback and gut-checks from folks who live in HubSpot every day.

I’ve spent the last few years building a UTM capture + reporting app in the Salesforce ecosystem (initially pulling Page View data from Pardot into Salesforce, to automatically create CampaignMember records by matching UTMs to Campaigns).

The original goal was simple: capture every UTM touchpoint (not just first or last), keep the data soley in your Salesforce org, and make attribution/reporting easier without bolting on yet another analytics platform or adding another tracking pixel. With this goal, no need for the common UTM stuff people had to build (javascript to pull UTMs onto Forms, syncing UTMs to Salesforce, Flows to try to make CampaignMember records). The info has always been buried inside the Platform, I’m just making it easy to see in Salesforce.

Many people over the years said it would be better if the app worked for HubSpot, so that’s what I’ve done over the last month.

Now, I’m not a HubSpot person and am new to the community. What I’m hoping the experts will help me with is: is this actually solving real problems for HubSpot & Salesforce users, or am I carrying Pardot assumptions that don’t translate as well as I thought?

If you’ve wrestled with UTMs, attribution, or campaign reporting in HubSpot, I’d really appreciate your thoughts. Happy to share more technical details if helpful, and just as happy to be told “go away Salesforce guy”.

I’ve got a link to the app here, though right now the super brief demo vids are Pardot focused, working on a HubSpot one soon.

Hi @AdamErstelle,
Thanks for sharing, Adam!
We appreciate you bringing this over to HubSpot and looking forward to seeing how it works. Thanks for inviting feedback!
