Locked out of portal after email change — SSO still enforced, no fallback

Hi there — hoping a moderator or support staff member can help escalate this, since I can’t log into my account to open a ticket the normal way.

Portal ID: 442392507
Account email: monotraining.snowsuit714@passfwd.com

I recently updated the email address on my HubSpot user account in preparation for a Microsoft 365 domain migration. It looks like SSO was still enforced when I made the change, and I’m now stuck in a loop where the “Sign in with Microsoft” flow doesn’t resolve to my existing account — instead it prompts me to create a new one.

I do have a password set from before SSO was activated, but I’m not seeing a way to use it to log in directly. I’m the only admin on this portal, so I have no way to temporarily exclude myself from the SSO requirement from the inside.

Could someone help me either

(a) temporarily lift the SSO requirement so I can log in and correct this, or

(b) manually confirm my account email so the Microsoft SSO resolves to my existing portal? I want to avoid creating a duplicate account and losing everything set up under this one.

Happy to verify ownership however needed. Thanks in advance for the help.

This sounds like an SSO/email mismatch. Since you’re the only admin, HubSpot Support will need to verify ownership and either temporarily disable SSO or link your Microsoft login to the existing account. Avoid creating a duplicate account until they resolve it.

Hello @MonoTraining,

Welcome to the community!

Sorry for the login trouble! Please try signing in using an incognito window to enter your Microsoft credentials. If you chose to only allow the Microsoft flow by mistake, you can submit a request using the form at the bottom of this KB Article: Log in to HubSpot

This will submit a support ticket specifically for your login issue. Since account updates require verifying your ownership with Support, this may be your best option if the you’re not able to login via Microsoft credentials.

Hope this helps!

Hi @MonoTraining, you’re the only admin and SSO is fully enforced with no fallback, this isn’t something a moderator or community reply can fix directly, no one outside HubSpot’s support team can override SSO enforcement or manually reset a portal’s linked email. This genuinely needs an account recovery escalation, not a returned reply here. Since you can’t log in to open a ticket normally, use HubSpot’s account recovery contact form (accessible without logging in) and reference your Portal ID and the account email mismatch clearly, that’s designed for exactly this kind of lockout. I’d also flag this post directly to a moderator by using the flag icon so it gets routed faster, since this really needs a human on HubSpot’s side to verify ownership and manually intervene.
