List of existing deals without products

We are Netic - an IT-Operations and IT-Services company. We are in the latters stages og implementing HubSpot CRM and Sales Hub Professional, meaning that we have already started using the product full force but we are still correcting and learning from our mistakes. It’s all going fairly well.

We are using the “Products” feature in HubSpot to attach and are mostly liking it. However it is becoming a problem that “Associated Products” is not a deal property.

Many people know that getting sales staff to use a CRM-system is a long term project, and we are specifically having issues with getting some of our Account Managers to use the products feature. Our COO would like to bve able to pull a list of all deals without products, in order to be able to gauge how big of an issue it is.

However, as far as I can see that is not possible, neither in the “Deals” overview nor in the reports tool - simply because products is feature in itself, and not a property of a deal.

Am I missing something here? Is it somehow possible to pull a list of all deals with no products?

Cheers

Hi @Morten_Olsson

It appears you are correct - there is no straightforward way to do this currently.

However, I may have a solution - not fully tested though.

I was able to create a deal-based workflow where the enrolment condition is ‘at least one associated product has Name is known’:

Using a workflow like this you should be able to set a custom deal property to flag that a product is associated, and then filter them out of a deal view.

Hope this helps.

Hey @Phil_Vallender

What are you specifically selecting when choosing the enrollment criteria?

Under “Deal” I have these options:

Deal information

Amount

Amount in company currency

Associated company

Close date

Closed lost reason

Closed won reason

Create date

Currency

Deal Description

Deal ID

Deal ID

Deal Product 1 (custom property that I have created to work on a solution as the one you have outlined)

Deal name

Deal owner

Deal stage

Deal type

HubSpot team

Last activity date

Last contacted

Last modified date

Next activity date

Number of contacts

Last contacted

Number of contacts

Number of sales activities

Number of times contacted

Owner assigned date

Pipeline

Analytics history

Original source data 1

Original source data 2

Original source type

And under “Product” these are my options:

Line Item Information

Amount

Create date

Currency

Last modified date

Quantity

Line Item Product Information

Cost of goods sold

Discount Amount

Discount Percentage

Name

Product description

Product price

Recurring billing frequency

Start Date

Tax

Term

None of them seem to be what you have in your screen shot. Can this be a restriction due to the fact that we are only on a Professional and not an Enterprise subscription?

Hi @Morten_Olsson

Under ‘Product’ choose ‘Name’ and then ‘is known’ - shoud work on Pro.

Hi @Phil_Vallender

Yes you’re right. I got hung up on the “At least one associated product has…” which Hubspot adds itself. It works fine.

Thanks for assisting.

Best regards,

Morten
