Link company email to company Hubspot account.

I am sure others have the same issue as I have. Let me explain. I work as a consultant and I have 2 companies (small businesses) that I have recommended that they start using a CRM system for the first time. As a gentle intro I have suggested to both that they use the free Hubspot initially - which they have done.

I have on my Outlook 3 different email addresses: 1 personal and 1 each for the 2 companies. 1 company is Office 365 and the other is IMAP. When I am sending emails from personal or the 2 company emails I am logged into 1 Hubspot account and cannot change without logging out completely.

I had hoped to be able to link into the relevant HubSpot account when in the corresponding company email and also not have any connection to Hubspot when in my personal account.

I am clearly doing something wrong but I have not got a clue how to resolve this. Can anyone help without getting too technical?

Thanks in anticipation.

Hi @B_Parish

That’s Microsoft for you.

I’m in a similar situation but I am using 3 different Gmail accounts and emails.

As I’m not using an email client but do everything in in Chrome, I have 3 different Chrome profiles between which I switch.

I don’t know the technical ins and outs but it’s my understanding that between the plugin and the client needs to be a 1-2-1 relationship. In your setup it would be a 1-2-3 relationship and the system wouldn’t know to which Hub to assign emails to.

If you have a paid subscription, maybe check with support if they know something we don’t know, but I think there is on easy way - other than dropping the email client.
