I am responsible for the implementation of the new flow regarding the use of CRM by the sales team of the company I work for.
While working on the implementation of the flow regarding line items, I realized that, unlike Contacts, Companies and Deals, line item properties do not support “Property Access”, that functionality that would allow a specific field to be made editable or locked for a specific team.
Below you can find a screenshot of the property I am referring to (you can find this screenshot by going to Settings > Propertires > Product properties and you will see the “PROPERTY ACCESS” column).
In my opinion, this is a critical feature since the use of products is something that is common to all companies, and not being able to manage the properties as well as possible causes quite a few management and reporting issues.
Do you think this functionality is on the agenda? And if so, when might the beta be released?

Hello @KMountazih , at this moment the access to line items cannot be edited, as well, any user with Account Access permissions can edit the line items.

Manage Permissions on Line Item Properties
What is it?
You can now restrict access to specific line item properties (like name, unit price, or discount) by user or team. This allows greater control and security within your quoting and sales workflows.
Why does it matter?
Until now, line items didn’t support field-level permissions—creating risk and operational inefficiencies for teams needing more control. With this update, you can:
- Prevent reps from editing sensitive fields (like product name or unit price)
- Give finance or RevOps teams exclusive access to key pricing data
- Align permissions on line items with how you already manage Deals, Contacts, and other records
- Reduce errors and manual oversight by locking down what should stay fixed
How does it work?
To set permissions:
- Go to Settings > Properties > Select an object: Line item properties
- Choose a property and click Manage permissions
- Define who can view and edit the property by team or user.
