Reading Edit price and term details in the line items editor, which states, “Applies to all prducts and plans”
“After you create products in the product library, you can associate instances of the products as line items with your deal records.
In the right panel, in the Line items section”
But there is no Line items section showing in my Deals right panel.
Why is that, what am I missing? Thanks!

This sounds strange indeed! To confirm, you are not seeing a “Line Items” section in the right panel of your deal account correct? Please see an example from my account below:
To determine if this is a caching issue, may I get you to clear your cache and cookies after creating a new product, please and view the deal in Incognito Mode? I’ve included a couple of step-by-step articles below from Google below for you.
