Is there a way to enter a value manually on the line entries for items. In particular, on the picture below, I want Colour and Size to be free text.

Thanks

Hi @AntR13 ,

Yes, you can do this by creating custom product properties. See how I have done that in the below screenshot-

![](https://d2qpr2jzcazej7.cloudfront.net/original/3X/1/8/183408be360185201daedb945cbd86c33ca68897.png)

To do this, go to _Settings \> Data Management \> Properties \> Product Properties \> Create Property_

I created two dropdown select proprties so I have a list of values to choose from, but you can also create these as single-line text properties.

Once you have created the properties, you can add them to the ‘Review line items’ screen in the quote creator by clicking _Edit Columns_.

I hope this answers your question!

Hey @AntR13 ,

I’ve just replicated what you have done and created 2 free-text properties and it seems that you can’t just edit from the Review Line Items screen unfortunately. Instead you need to press the _Actions_ dropdown next to the product name and click _Edit_.

This will bring you to the ‘Edit line item’ menu, where you can edit all of the prodcut properties.

Hope this helps!

Thanks, I suspected that may be the only way - irritating I guess but hey! Is there a way to hide a load of the options from the right hand edit screen? Thank you again!

Unfortunately you can’t customise the Create a line item form currently.

You can archive any custom properties that have been created in the intance, but not standard properties.

You can also create another property group which will add another section to the form, see below-

 ![Screenshot 2024-02-19 at 10.42.19.png](https://d2qpr2jzcazej7.cloudfront.net/original/2X/2/2803d22743421efed72ee45cfb7f0788b144b0ea.png)

You could maybe use this to highlight the properties that need to be edited. To do this, go to _Settings \> Data Management \> Properties \> Product Properties \> Groups._ Not ideal, but it might help somewhat.

It would great if you could upvote [this Idea](https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/Ability-to-Edit-Create-a-line-item-form/idi-p/836774) in the Ideas forum. This is where HubSpot go to get product and feature update ideas, so the more traction an idea has the more likely it is to be picked up by HubSpot!
