I’m super excited for the line item tax settings since I can finally use hubspot invoices. However, the tax setting is not showing up for me in the product library when adding a product. I can select the tax rate when creating a new line item while creating an invoice, but these items are not saved to my product library. If it is possible to add the tax setting option when creating a product in the product library, that would be fantastic. If it is already possible and I am just missing it, please let me know, thanks!
Came across this and wanted to let you know there’s no an option to automate sales tax calculation inside HubSpot. This will allow you to achieve what you’re wanting in a much more scalable way.
The app is available in the HubSpot Marketplace and is called Sales Tax Powered by AvaTax. Instead of trying to manually manage HubSpot rate tables, you can leverage Avalara’s tax engine to automate sales tax colculation.
So when you run a Quote, it returns the right tax value based on current information… instead of just returning the HubSpot rate based on a table that likely isn’t being updated nearly as often as tax rules change.
