Limitations on Social Media

Hello,

I would like to know if there’s a way to add PDF on LinkedIn posts through HubSpot? Also, Why I can only add up to 4 images on each post?

I see these limitations as blockers because I can’t do much with them. I would appreciate HubSpot taking a deeper look into these limitations on the Social Media Feature.

Best,

Eliosn

Hey @ebarbeta currently the social app only supports image formats or video formats

So there’s no current way or workaround to add a PDF to a social post posted via HubSpot.

Do you now if it is possible to add more than 4 images? Currently, I can’t add more than 4. Is that a way to change it? Thanks

Just tested on my portal too, looks like 4 is the limit! Linkedin has a limit of only 9 images per social post, it looks like HubSpot has limited it to 4. My guess is this is either an arbitrary limit or an older API they’re using to post to linkedin, but there’s currently no way to change this limit in HubSpot.

@ebarbeta it’s not possible to add PDFs because the Linkedin API doesn’t allow carousel posts - this is a limitation of Microsoft/Linkedin, not HubSpot

The multi-image API requires a minimum of 2 and max of 9, it looks like HubSpot set it to 4 and it would require that they update the social settings to allow more.
There is an idea in the community to increase the max that you can upvote and add your comments to here which will be reviewed by the product team.

I also want to know why I can only add four imagers on Facebook and LinkedIn. These are not limitations that exist on other platforms that I have used in the past (Later or Sprout). I also would like to be able to tag a person or page in the image vs only being able to tag in the copy. That function also exists in the above platforms but not HubSpot. Lastly, pulling in DM’s from Instagram. I almost feel like the social component in Hubspot is so lacking that it does not fully make sense to utilize it.
