Limitations of "Goals"

Hey everyone.

Can anyone else confirm that the documentation for goals in HubSpot is outdated? I have Sales Hub Ent. and I created a single object deal based report. Yet, I am unable to add a goal line into my chart despite following instructions from the documentation here.

It says to look for the Goal dropdown in the Filters tab but thats not an option.

All I’m trying to do is create a report of deals won month-over-month (I’ve got that down!) and include a line or visual for the goal. I want to be able to show how close a pipeline is to fulfilling their goals.

I don’t like the generic Goal section because its clunky and not customizable. At least using single-object reporting I have something thats a little better (still not great). Has anyone suceeded at this?

If you’ve been able to create a report to show how you team tracks towards targets, please let me know! It doesn’t matter if it uses HubSpot Goals or not. Bonus points if your goals are different each month!

I’m able to follow the documentation just fine, works for me. Could you confirm that you greated a goal-based report? It’s easy to miss that part in the article. If yes, can you please share a screenshort of what you’re seeing in the report editor?
