With the last major update to the global search bar, pressing Enter while the suggestion dropdown is still loading now auto-selects the top matching record and opens it directly — instead of taking you to the full search results page like it used to.
For users who type quickly, this means we’re regularly landed on the wrong record instead of the results list, and now have to scroll to the bottom of the dropdown and click a separate button just to get to the search page. This slows down a workflow that used to be a single keystroke.
Please add an option to restore the previous behavior — either a toggle to disable dropdown auto-select on Enter, or simply making Enter always go to the full results page regardless of dropdown state.
