We are implementing deals in the CRM, and we want to leverage the lead prospecting capabilities that have been released.
When the lead is “qualified”, a form automatically appears to create a deal.
However, I’m amazed to see that it’s doesn’t prompt some info it could easily get from the lead data such as the company name and the contact. What’s the point on working on a lead, if after all, you have to create the opportunity from scratch?
I’m surprised this isn’t already the default. It’s very frustrated for users to need to search for the contact and company associated with deal when the trigger for the deal creation is qualifying a lead.
I’m very surprised that this is not the case, especially since users are used to having this data prompt if they created the deal from the contact/company record itself.
What I did is I created a workflow that creates a deal once the stage accepted is reached. And within that wf, I’ve copied data from the lead to the deal
