Hi all, is it possible to link 1 Linkedin ads account to 2 separate Hubspot accounts and allow lead sync into both? It’s a new scenario for me and not sure if it’s doable.
Thanks!

Hi @SmartListGhost,
Thanks for bringing this to the Community!
Looking into our documentation on the matter here I’m not finding anything that explicitly states you can’t. With that in mind, I’d like to tag in some of our Top Contributors to see if they have any experience with this!
Hi @karstenkoehler, @danmoyle, @SanjayKumar -- I’d love to hear your insights for @SmartListGhost - have you found a successful way to handle this?
Thank you!

Hi @SmartListGhost,
From what HubSpot officially supports, LinkedIn Ads accounts are connected and managed at the portal level via the ads tool. Lead syncing is also configured per portal.
There isn’t any clear documentation confirming that a single LinkedIn Ads account can reliably sync leads into multiple HubSpot portals at the same time. In most standard setups, lead sync is intended to work on a one-portal basis.
So while you might be able to connect the same LinkedIn account in more than one place, I wouldn’t rely on it as a way to distribute leads across two HubSpot accounts without testing it carefully.
If your goal is to have the same leads in both portals, a more reliable approach is usually:
That gives you more control and avoids any sync inconsistencies.
I’d recommend running a quick test with a sample lead to confirm how it behaves in your setup.
Hope this helps

I agree with @SanjayKumar here, @SmartListGhost. I’m curious as to what the reasoning is for connecting a LinkedIn ads account to two HubSpot accounts. I’d think that would end up giving complicated reports which would be better in one portal?
So it stems from a client who was bought out, the original company kept a legacy Hubspot instance, while the company that was bought out has their own. Their thought process behind it is one instance for the Americas and the other international, minus the Americas.
The issue is that they already have the linkedin sync connected with the legacy Hubspot instance and the one I’m working out of is fed by a Linkedin > Zapier > Salesforce > Hubspot sync (since they originally used Pardot), which is leading to loss of source data. So I’m trying to figure out what the best & easiest course of action for them would be given this scenario.
@SmartListGhost Thank you for the additional context, that helps. Since the goal is “Americas in one portal, international in the other,” I’d avoid relying on a Salesforce relay for one side and native LinkedIn sync for the other. Instead, I’d try to get both portals onto the same ingestion standard, preferably native LinkedIn lead sync where possible, then use routing rules, lifecycle stage logic, or downstream automation to separate Americas vs. international records. That should preserve more of the original source data than pushing through Zapier/Salesforce first, which can overwrite or flatten attribution.
I think the fastest validation test is to connect the LinkedIn ad account to the second HubSpot portal, enable lead sync for one test form, and submit a fresh test lead. HubSpot says new leads can take up to two hours to appear, and you can choose either “New Leads” or “New & recent leads” during setup. If the test lead lands cleanly in both portals, you’ll know the dual-portal setup is workable; then the real decision is whether the reporting tradeoff is worth it.
Thank you so much @danmoyle, much appreciated!
