I’m a senior product manager on the Notifications team at HubSpot and I wanted to present our private beta for automatically silencing email notifications.
Here is how it works:
Every month, users will receive an email with a list of notifications that will be turned off automatically (with the option to keep them on). These notifications are the ones they received but didn’t open or click in the next 30 days of its delivery.
If users don’t want to receive these notifications anymore, no action is required on their side. These notifications will be turned off automatically for them in the next 7 days of receiving this email.
If users want to keep receiving them, they can click on “keep receiving” and it will bring them to a confirmation page.
Once they click on keep on, we will make sure users will continue receiving the notification.
Disclaimer: if users don’t take any action in the next 7 days after receiving this email, the notifications suggested for automatic silencing, will be turned off. Users will be able to turn them back on by going to the notifications preferences page.
