# Issues with the videoconferencing API

Hi I am trying to use the videoconferencing API extension

but whenever I call the API like so

[https://api.hubapi.com/crm/v3/extensions/videoconferencing/settings/](https://api.hubapi.com/crm/v3/extensions/videoconferencing/settings/)\<\<PORTALID\>\>?hapikey=\<\<APIKEY\>\>

I just get the message back

"Couldn’t find an app with ID ‘\<\<PORTALID\>\>’

Hey @rohansdeeson,

In order to use this API and integrate this with your Portal, you need to be using [a Developer App](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/api/creating-an-app) via [a HubSpot Developer Portal](https://developers.hubspot.com/get-started).

In these requests, we then use the _ **App ID** _ from the Developer App to control and associate the video conferencing settings. Hence, the request looks like the following:

`https://api.hubapi.com/crm/v3/extensions/videoconferencing/settings/appId?hapikey=YOUR_HUBSPOT_API_KEY (DEVELOPER KEY)`
