Issues with Forms while onboarding and still have current CRM forms on - Infusionsoft / Keap forms

We are in the early onboarding stages. We put the Hubspot tracking code on our website so we are starting to see all contacts from forms come through.

The current online forms are created in Infusinosoft / Keap.

The issue we are having is we are testing the forms to see which form is which, so we can rename them, and not all of them are coming into Hubspot.

Our onboarding specialist suggested we build the forms out in Hubspot to avoid any issues, but I’m wondering what is going to happen if I have on the live site (because we aren’t officially launching yet) the current CRM Form (infusionsoft) and the new Hubspot form. Is this possible to do?

Hey @LMeloche, Happy Monday!

Thank you for reaching out. It’s great that you’ve added the HubSpot tracking code and are starting to see contacts come through. The issue with not all forms coming into HubSpot could be due to the integration between Infusionsoft/Keap and HubSpot. While building forms in HubSpot can streamline the process and avoid issues, you can have both Infusionsoft and HubSpot forms live on your site simultaneously. However, this might complicate your data tracking. I recommend testing thoroughly to ensure all forms are captured correctly in HubSpot before your official launch.

Best regards,

Pam

Thanks Pam,

So you are saying that I could have the Infusionsoft Form code on, as well as create the Form code from Hubspot? This is the page I’m referring to. Free Trial - Scott's Directories So the from would only appear on the page once, but with the 2 codes, it would push the data into both Infusionsoft and Hubspot?

Hi @LMeloche

You can definitely keep both forms live, but there are a couple of details to be aware of.

If you embed both the Infusionsoft form and the HubSpot form code on the same page, you’ll still only see one form on the site but each backend will try to capture the submission. This usually works fine, but it can get messy if the fields don’t align perfectly. You might see missing or inconsistent data depending on how each system parses the submissionn

HubSpot tracking code on its own doesn’t guarantee every external form is captured. HubSpot’s non-HubSpot form capture tool (sometimes called collected forms) has limits: not all forms are recognized, especially if the HTML or JavaScript structure is unusual. Here’s the doc with details:

Best practice is what your onboarding specialist suggested move to HubSpot-native forms when you can. That way you get consistent submissions, progressive profiling, and built-in analytics.

Until then, just test carefully page by page to make sure both systems are receiving what you expect.

And just to share, some teams that want to avoid dual tracking altogether lean on platforms like Stacksync it keeps both CRMs in sync in real time, so you don’t have to juggle two codes or worry about missed submissions while you transition.

Hope this helps.
