My team and I have noticed an issue with YouTube comment management in HubSpot. When we reply to a YouTube comment directly on YouTube, HubSpot does not recognize or display that reply within the platform. This makes it look like comments are still unanswered in HubSpot, even though we’ve already engaged with them on YouTube.
This creates confusion for our team as we manage community engagement and track responsiveness. Ideally, HubSpot should sync replies made on YouTube so that the comment thread in HubSpot reflects the actual engagement status.
Is this a known limitation, or can this functionality be fixed/added?
It would really help improve our workflow and ensure accurate comment tracking.

Hi @RFirth7, I looked into this and it turns out this is a known limitation of the YouTube–HubSpot integration. HubSpot can pull in comments, but it won’t recognize replies you post directly on YouTube. That’s why they still look “unanswered” in HubSpot.
The key is to manage those replies inside HubSpot’s Social Tools:
Go to Settings > Marketing > Social and make sure your YouTube account is connected.
Reply to comments directly from HubSpot’s social tool — when you do, the reply will sync back to HubSpot automatically.
If you’re connected but still not seeing replies, try disconnecting and reconnecting your YouTube account to refresh the connection.
A quick note: if you reply on YouTube itself, HubSpot won’t be able to sync that activity. So to keep things accurate in HubSpot, stick to replying through the Social tool.
