Is it possible to create an org chart on contact records in HubSpot?

Hello,

I was wondering if this is possible, I would like to create an org chart of sorts that will live on the contact record. In my mind, I would like to have a custom object titled org chart that will live on a contacts record that will show their role, a list of direct reports under that person, and who that person reports to. I would like for this to be able to have a lookup filter to search for other hubspot users. Is this possible in HubSpot I’m trying to get this added in sandbox but I’m not having any luck. Thank you

Hi @CClark3,

There’s a great third party app for that which integrates with HubSpot and which I highly recommend you check out: https://orgcharthub.com/

Let me know if that’s an option.

Seems like it’s not working anymore in September 2025?

Hi @RandaTh

If you are still looking for a solution to this, you might want to check out https://www.vizrm.com/ - it allows you to open an org-chart directly from the HubSpot company and contact record, and quickly map out the structure with simple drag & drop and other advanced modelling capabilities like related company records, groups etc.

Disclaimer: I am especially excited about this because I am a co-founder at vizrm :black_heart:

Karsten - this company has been acquired by HubSpot. Where in your offering does this technology show up now?

Hi everyone :waving_hand:

Thanks for keeping this thread alive — it’s clear there’s been some confusion over time around org chart functionality in HubSpot, especially with third-party tools changing or no longer working as expected.

I’d like to invite a few Community members who are subject matter experts in data modeling, custom objects, and account mapping to help clarify the current state and best options today.
@karstenkoehler @DilshadShaikh @Mike_Eastwood — hope you’re all doing well! Given the changes mentioned here (acquisitions, apps no longer working, Enterprise requirements), what’s the current, product-accurate way to represent org charts or reporting structures in HubSpot? Is this still only feasible via third-party tools, or are there supported native/custom-object patterns teams are using now?

Any up-to-date guidance would be hugely appreciated by everyone following this.
Best,
Victor

This would be lovely to hear back on

Hello @StevenM1, not my offering, I don’t work for HubSpot

You can find an update from OrgChartHub here: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/CRM/Org-Chart/m-p/1232313/highlight/true#M161355

We released a Public BETA for the new fully native version of OrgChartHub last month, it is called Buying Groups. There is a community post here with all the details including loom videos. It’s available to all Sales Hub Enterprise customers at the moment. I will make sure to continue to update this thread with any new details. If you have any other questions please don’t hesitate to ask, always happy to help.

The link is broken on the original post but you can find a loom here: Adding HubSpot Buying Groups to Company, Contact or Deal profiles | Loom

Not working. It looks like hubspot acquired them and left us without the feature for now

Hi @VitorSoares ,

Requires Sales enterprise these days to function as far as I know.

Trying to build a custom reporting hierarchy using standard HubSpot custom objects and lookup filters can be incredibly painful to manage in a sandbox environment, as HubSpot doesn’t natively render nested, multi-level reporting visuals very smoothly on record sidecards.

I ran into this exact same requirement, so I decided to build a dedicated tool that adds a clean, multi-tier relationship tree right onto the HubSpot contact and company records.

To list it on the App Marketplace, HubSpot requires me to have 3 initial active installations via a private developer link to clear their verification checklist. If you’re still looking for a solution, I’d love to give you free lifetime access in exchange for being one of my 3 early testers.

Let me know if you want me to send over the private install link to test in your sandbox!

Hi,

We created a great alternative: https://orgchart.work/

It is fully integrated with HubSpot and allow you to create Org Charts with one click using AI. Moreover, it provides intelligence on the contacts, such the relevance and the engagement of them. It is free to try!

Available on the Marketplace

@Victor_Becerra @NMoore5 nobody answered this actual question, so here’s the straight version as of August 2026:
Natively, HubSpot gives us association labels and buying role properties to hold the data mostly relevant to org charts / account maps.

The visual layer is now Buying Groups (formerly OrgChartHub), public beta on Sales and Service Hub Enterprise.

Custom objects with lookup filters, which is what the original poster asked about is IMO painful to maintain, and HubSpot doesn’t render nested levels on a record card.

Third-party solutions incl. vizrm (the company I co-founded) have popped up in different levels of maturity in the last year or so - some are listed on the HubSpot Marketplace

Hope this helps

Markus
P.s. as a co-founder of vizrm I am especially excited about account maps :black_heart:

Hi @MMeier1 and all, Happy Thursday!

Thanks for sharing your perspective and updating this HubSpot Community topic, we appreciate it!

Thanks also to everybody here, for your help and for sharing integrations!

Here is some additional information:

HubSpot now has indeed native Buying Groups, replacing OrgChartHub after its acquisition. For visualizing company hierarchies, you can use the Account Map feature (available on the Public and Private BETA for Buying Groups). Account Map gives you a clear visual of parent and child companies and keeps everything synced with your Related Companies associations.

To access Account Map, open the parent company record, go to the Related Companies card, and select “View account map” or “Account Map Summary.”

You can also check out the video from my colleague Dan for more information about this!

Buying Groups are available for Sales Hub Enterprise and Service Hub Enterprise customers.

All plans still include Parent/Child Company associations for basic relationship data, though they don’t provide a visual map.

Quick tip: Buying Groups visualize stakeholder relationships; Account Map shows company hierarchies.

I hope this helps!
