Is it possble to add image in Quota based on selected products.

Hi y’all,

One of my clients is looking to use custom-designed quotes in HubSpot so they can maintain their existing look and feel. Their previous quotes were almost brochure-like and included accessories as well as up- and cross-sell suggestions.

While my coding knowledge is limited, I also believe this level of customization may not be possible out of the box. That said, the client would like to know whether the following is possible:

When a product is selected on a quote, can an image of that product be automatically added to the quote so the recipient can see the product visually?

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Great question, thanks for asking the HubSpot Community!
You should be able to embed images within quotes. Please let me know if that’s not what you are after.

Thanks for your reply.

To clarify, the customer only has a Commerce seat, not a Sales seat. Therefore, it is not possible for us to create a custom template; we can only work with the Design Manager or existing templates.

I was wondering whether automation and personalization are still possible in this setup. I’m very curious to hear what the top experts think.

Hey there @RichardRetail25. I believe this is only possible with a custom quote template that uses CMS/Design Manager and HubL logic. Otherwise I don’t think it’s possible to get fully automatic per‑line product images with only default templates and no template access.

Given your client’s current setup and limited coding capacity, you may need to help them think through some realistic approaches. They could use an “overview” section: add 2–4 manual product or bundle images in a rich text block at the top or bottom of the quote, labeled clearly so recipients can see what they’re buying.

Or they could use product properties to drive text‑based suggestions: you can still use line‑item or deal properties to surface up‑/cross‑sell suggestions textually (e.g., “Recommended accessories for Product A”), even if the images themselves are manual.

And if they upgrade or enable custom quote templates later, you can retrofit:

  • Add a product image/file/URL property.
  • Build them a simple custom quote based on the default theme with an image column wired to that property.
