Is HubSpot Support Getting Worse? How Do You Escalate Serious Support Issues When CSM is unresponsiv

I genuinely feel like HubSpot support is getting worse over time.

Over the past few months, I’ve raised three separate support tickets, and in most cases the support representative either didn’t fully understand the issue being reported or the outcome was ultimately disappointing.

For example, I recently raised a ticket via chat and spent considerable time explaining the issue in detail. The support representative assured me that he understood the problem and had worked on similar cases before. However, he then converted the chat into an email ticket, which resulted in several days of waiting without resolution.

Ironically, when I later asked the HubSpot AI assistant the same question, it provided the correct answer almost immediately. At times, it feels easier to get accurate help from AI than from human support.

My current situation is much more frustrating. We are a HubSpot Partner supporting one of our clients, and we are currently dealing with a business-critical issue affecting their operations. Quotes are not generating PDFs, which is directly impacting our client’s sales team and their ability to send quotes to prospects and customers.

The ticket has now been open for over a week, and we’ve been stuck in a continuous back-and-forth with support. After requesting an escalation, we were informed that the issue is being reviewed by the internal team, but there has been very little transparency around progress, ownership, or an expected resolution timeline. While we understand that some issues require deeper investigation, the lack of meaningful updates has been extremely frustrating.

To make matters worse, I’ve also reached out to our assigned CSM for assistance and escalation support, but so far I’ve received no response. As a partner advocating on behalf of a client, being ignored while trying to resolve a critical issue is disappointing and, frankly, unprofessional. It also puts us in a difficult position when managing our client’s expectations.

At this stage, my concern is less about the technical issue itself and more about the overall support experience, communication, and accountability.

Have other partners experienced a decline in support quality recently?

What is the most effective way to escalate a critical client issue when support is unresponsive and your CSM isn’t engaging?

I’d appreciate hearing how other partners have handled similar situations.

Hey @DKahlon,

Thank you so much for taking the time to post this feedback in the Community! This is not the experience we want for any of our customers, and I’m happy to see how I can collaborate with our Support team to ensure we get you the support you deserve.

Would you mind sending me a private message with:

-Your HubID
-The ticket #'s of the open tickets you currently have with Support

I’ll be happy to do whatever I can to see you through these inquiries.

Hi Shane,

Thank you for getting back to me and for offering to help.

My details are:

Hub ID: 2650178
Open Support Ticket: #4863298571

I would also like to let you know that I lodged another support ticket today to escalate the issue, although I’m still unsure whether I will receive a resolution. If there’s anything you can do to help move this forward or get additional attention on the matter, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you

Hi @DKahlon, my name is Caroline and I am a manager here on the HubSpot Customer Support team. I apologize for the delay and the frustration this has caused you and your client. I am personally reviewing your tickets right now to get this business-critical issue back on track. You can expect an update on your ticket shortly.

Hey Davinder, to keep your client’s sales team sending quotes in the meantime, we built DocuGen for this kind of document. You can install it in the client’s portal and upload their quote as a Word template. Reps then generate the PDF from inside HubSpot with the line items filled in, and it saves to the deal’s attachments.

Search for “DocuGen” in the marketplace.

P.S. Our free plan covers 400 documents a month (no watermarks) with unlimited users, so your client can have their whole team generating documents at no cost.

Hey @SCaracand,

Thanks for posting a workaround here. Is DocuGen listed in the HubSpot App Marketplace? If so, feel free to provide a direct link!

Hi @cfernandes,

Thank you for your message and for taking the time to look into this personally. I really appreciate your support and proactive approach. It’s reassuring to know the issue is receiving attention, and I’m grateful for your help in moving this forward.

Kind regards,
DK

Hi @SCaracand, Thank you for sharing this information. Fortunately, the client has been provided with alternative ways to create and send quotes in the meantime, but I’ll definitely keep this solution in mind for future reference.

Cheers, D
