Is AEO trial eligible for practical exercises in HubSpot certification?

Hi, I completed all lessons and knowledge checks for Implementing AEO With HubSpot. The only remaining items are the 4 practical exercises, but they require Marketing Hub Professional or above. I currently only have an active AEO trial, and I do not have access to another eligible portal. Can you confirm whether the AEO standalone trial is excluded from certification practical exercise eligibility, and whether there is any alternate path to complete the certification?

I can confirm that, for the AEO certification, the practical exercises for that require Marketing Hub Professional or above. A free trial will not work unfortunately.

I have the same issue and even though I have signed up for the 14-day trial of Marketing Hub Professional, I still don’t have access to complete the exercise.

Basically, I see this message: "You don’t have access to these reports.

Your products or user roles don’t give you access to these reports. You may want to reach out your account administrator for more information."

Can you help further?

Can you please confirm that the trial was started in the same HubSpot account being used for the exercise?

Also, could you please have the account admin verify your user has the necessary Marketing Access / report permissions?

Thank you for your response.

I can confirm I started the trial with the same HubSpot account as for the exercise. I have also checked my settings and I seem to have a seat as a Sales Professional - Core and to have a super admin access. The invite has also been accepted.

I don’t know who my account admin is and was unable to find that information on my account. Can you help further?

Hi @AlCapone and thanks for confirming these details!

The account admin is the super admin. If you can access Settings > Users & Teams, you’ll be able to check the user table there. You’ll see an access column for each user, which helps identify who has elevated access.

Since you confirmed that you are the Super admin, let me check internally on this and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible!

Thank you so much for your patience while we got back to you, and I apologize for any confusion around the course access.

While the AEO certificate course itself is free to enroll in, some of the hands-on exercises require features only available with a Pro subscription. I’m sorry if this was unclear, especially if you were hoping to complete everything for free or with a trial.

We understand this can be confusing, especially when the course is described as a free certificate course, so I wanted to share that we’re actively working on adding a practice mode for these exercises. This will let all learners participate more fully without needing a Pro subscription in the future.
