All the best on the journey ahead @waseeq!

I highly recommend becoming active on LinkedIn and here in the HubSpot Community so you can learn and share what you learn with others - it’s also a great way to learn about different use cases and put your skills to the test!

Hey there @waseeq and welcome to the HubSpot Community! In addition to the resources from @BérangèreL throughtout the Community, I’d agree with @Jnix284 about getting active on LinkedIn. And not just posting text, but creating videos and interacting with others. Comment, report, and engage with the greater community with whom you’d like to work.

Find companies you’d like to work for, and interact with their employees - just don’t be agressive and “hire me cuz I’m awesome.” Genuinely engage with them, share the company posts, and that kind of thing. Be human.

Also, work on building your experience.

  • Volunteer to help nonprofits do marketing, learn from others doing it, and help build something cool for them
  • Create your own content on Tik Tok or LinkedIn, maybe on Medium, etc.
  • Give away a campaign to a local small business who could use your help
  • Build your own website (HubSpot Free is full of cool free tools) and build your own campaign

Set goals for connecting with folks and creating content, and you’ll see results as you go.

  1. Build a Portfolio:

    • Create a personal website and use it as a portfolio to showcase your skills. Include any projects, campaigns, or strategies you’ve worked on during your learning journey. This tangible evidence can set you apart from other candidates.
  2. Networking:

    • Attend industry events, webinars, and join relevant LinkedIn groups. Networking can lead to opportunities, and connecting with professionals in the field can provide valuable insights.
  3. Hands-on Experience:

    • Apply your knowledge by working on real-world projects. Offer your digital marketing services to small businesses, non-profits, or start your own project to gain practical experience.
  4. Certifications:

    • Consider obtaining certifications from platforms like Google, HubSpot, and others. Certifications can enhance your resume and demonstrate your commitment to learning.
  5. Stay Updated:

    • Digital marketing is ever-evolving. Stay updated on industry trends, algorithm changes, and new tools. Follow thought leaders on social media and subscribe to newsletters to stay informed.
  6. Tailor Your Resume:

    • Customize your resume for each job application, highlighting relevant skills and experiences. Be specific about your achievements and the impact you’ve had during your learning journey.

Remember, consistency, hands-on experience, and a proactive approach to learning will significantly contribute to your success in the field of digital marketing. Good luck!
