Hello! The company I work for uses Hubspot to manage customer information as well as project information for our clients. We have multiple new clients who are being referred to us on a regular basis by previous/current clients as well as by other groups in our industry.
We are trying to make it so that when we create a Deal or Company record for new clients, we are able to cross-reference existing Contact information in Hubspot. For example, having a “Referred By” Custom Property that allows ‘tagging’ existing Contact records in our company’s Hubspot database. The idea is to have consistent spelling and information being populated in our Deals/Company forms so that we can eliminate manual entries as much as possible and further automate our reporting processes.
This is a great idea to be suggested.
It falls in the line of the need for lookup properties in the HubSpot CRM - being able to reference other Object Records in properties.
Right now we only have the standard “Associated with” properties in HubSpot CRM.
This suggestion is highly valuable. It aligns with the existing demand for lookup properties in the HubSpot CRM, which would allow the referencing of other Object Records within properties site. Currently, the HubSpot CRM only offers the standard “Associated with” properties.
Absolutely crucial for seeing the bigger picture- when will a tagging function and cross search or reporting function be available so you can search your contacts for links between individuals referred and similar networks they are involved in ? @hubspot
