We’re migrating from Insightly to HubSpot and relying on HubSpot Data Sync. A major blocker is that Insightly “Projects” is not available as a syncable object.
What we see:
- In HubSpot Data Sync → “Select the data that you want to sync,” the Insightly object dropdown shows Contacts, Leads, Opportunities, Organizations, and some Insightly custom objects.
- “Projects” does not appear on the Insightly side, so we cannot map Insightly Projects to HubSpot Projects.
- On the HubSpot side, “Projects” is selectable, but the sync cannot be configured without the matching Insightly object.
Why this matters:
Projects is a core module in Insightly and a core part of our workflow (post-sale work tracking). Not being able to sync/migrate Projects forces manual workarounds (CSV exports/imports or custom API integration), which defeats the purpose of using Data Sync and increases risk of data loss/inconsistency.
Request / Feature idea:
Please add support for syncing Insightly Projects as a supported object in the Insightly ↔ HubSpot Data Sync connector, including:
- Field mapping for standard Project fields
- Ability to sync Project associations (Company/Contact/Deal/Owner where applicable)
- Clear documentation of supported Project fields/limitations
If Projects cannot be supported for technical reasons, please publish an official explanation and recommended migration path (best-practice mapping into HubSpot Projects or an equivalent custom object + associations).
