When writing Sales emails from Hubspot, we have a number of basic formatting options, but we are missing the ability to indent text without a bullet point.
This is a suprising missing function especially since it’s present in most wysiswyg editors on the web (WordPress, etc …)
The main use case for us would be the ability to break a bullet point into two paragraphs:
- This is the first paragraph of the bullet point. In a lot of our emails we like to be able to break out this into two paragraphs
Like so, (which I’ve mocked up using spaces, since the tab key doesn’t work; and which is ugly because the second line is NOT indented, does not have the same font size as the first, and has too much vertical space …)
- And then we go back to another bullet point.
This idea was actually first put forward in 2017 (https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/More-formatting-options-in-Sales-Email-Templates/idi-p/21007/page/2#comments) but it was bundled with the ability to change fonts… which was delivered, hence the whole idea was marked as delivered.
But if you read the comment, people have continued asking for this feature. I’m not sure what the protocol is in that case, which is why i take the liberty to reiterate it on its own.
