# Inconsistent Gmail Email Logging to Contacts

We’ve noticed that some Gmail emails sent from connected accounts do not automatically appear in the correct HubSpot contact record, even though “Log and Track” is enabled.

It would help if HubSpot could improve the consistency of Gmail-to-contact logging to avoid missing conversations in the activity timeline.

The email connection it not sufficient for email logging: [Connect your personal email](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/connected-email/connect-your-inbox-to-hubspot)

You would also have to either use the BCC address or the Chrome sales extension. Can you confirm that this is the case for all users who are experiencing this issue?
