Including more in site wide search

I’m currently building a new website on HubSpot - it has a front end and a Member Only Area (we are using the Private - Registration Required setting to ensure that it remains Member Only. Two questions around the site search…

1) I would like the site wide search to check all pages within the domain and pull back any relevant results. If a non-member then clicked on a member only search result they’d be asked to login to view the content. Ideally we would have a lock symbol or something next to these results to make it clear that the user needs to be logged in to view the results.

2) we have a number of resources, PDFs, that are member only and therefore in the member only section of the website. How do I include PDFs in the search results? (again more the page the PDF sits on for the individual to then have to login to view them).

Does anyone have any solution to either of these?

1 - this isn’t possible, private content is excluded from search, otherwise it is not technically private anymore. This is from the developer documentation for Content Search:

System pages and password protected pages are not indexed. CMS Membership restricted pages will only display in hubspot content search for users that are signed in and have access to the pages.

2 - This is only possible if you are using CMS Memberships (part of Enterprise), it’s not possible if you are using password protected pages as an alternative to memberships.
