Problem: Currently, the “Emails” tab on a contact record only displays 1-to-1 sales or direct email threads. Marketing emails (such as automated renewal notices, newsletters, etc.) are excluded from this tab and only appear in the general “Activities” feed.
This causes significant confusion for our team. When users want to verify if an email was sent to a client, they naturally click the “Emails” tab. When they don’t see the marketing email there, they incorrectly assume the email was never sent.
Impact: This UI behavior leads to wasted time troubleshooting “missing” emails and miscommunication between team members who assume a client hasn’t been contacted.
Proposed Solution: Please consider one of the following improvements:
-
Consolidate: Include Marketing Emails within the “Emails” tab, perhaps offering a toggle or filter to easily view “1-to-1 Emails” vs “Marketing Emails” in one place.
-
Rename: Rename the current “Emails” tab to “1-to-1 Emails” or “Sales Emails” so it is immediately clear to users that marketing blasts and automated emails live elsewhere.
