# Inbox and Notifications

I’m sending out emails from Hubspot and then people are responding. BUT the email response is not showing up in my inbox or notifications so I have no way of know they responded. Does not make sense. What should I do?

Hi @bsgrob,

When you say responses aren’t showing up in your inbox do you mean your email inbox or “Inbox” within HubSpot?

If they’re not showing up in your email then there may be something wrong with the link between HubSpot and your email account. If they’re not showing up in your HubSpot Inbox, that’s not necessarily an issue. My HubSpot Inbox is completely blank (however all customer email appears on their individual timeline, as well as company and deal timelines).

With regards to being notified about email responses, you can change this in [Notification Preferences](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/settings/how-to-set-up-user-notifications-in-hubspot). Click on the bell icon in the top-right corner of HubSpot then click on the cog.

The option you’re looking for here is under Chat and Email Conversations \> Reply \> Email conversation reply:
