In the “Customer Success” and “Sales Workspace” Tools, define the Dashboard view by the owner config

The suggestion is that the panels in the “Customer Success” and “Sales Workspace” tools respect the “Owner” field configured in each tool, avoiding unnecessary changes.

Currently, when segmenting in the “Customer Success” tool for the “Responsible CS” field, and in the “Sales Workspace” tool, the “Responsible SDR” property is configured, but when we go to the “Dashboards” section of these tools, it is segmented by the “Company Owner” field, which is normally defined as the Responsible Sales Representative. This is not ideal, as each tool should maintain its own owner, without interfering with the main definition.

I propose that:

  1. In the “Customer Success” tool, the dashboard be segmented by the field selected as owner without needing to change the company owner to view the dashboard, allowing segmentation to happen independently.

2. In the “Sales Workspace” tool, be segmented by the field defined as the tool owner and the dashboard respects this selection.

The goal is to ensure that, regardless of configuration, the dashboard respects the owner defined in the main tool, whether in Customer Success or the Sales Workspace.

This change will help maintain data integrity and optimize workflow without the need to change the company owner in different contexts.

Hi,

It would be very helpful to have a native “Today’s Date” field that updates automatically. This would allow real-time calculations, like how long a deal has been stuck in a stage, among many other use cases. In Enterprise we can automate this daily, but in other plans it’s more complex. A native field would simplify everything.

Best regards

Hi everyone,
I’m Stefanie, a Product Manager on HubSpot’s Reporting team. Thanks for the thoughtful suggestion!
Today, Sales Workspace reports default to Owner ID, but that ownership context doesn’t automatically carry across the rest of the workspace the way it does in the Customer Success Workspace.
We’re aware of this difference and are exploring ways to make ownership filtering more flexible and consistent in the future. There aren’t immediate plans to change this behavior, but understanding when teams want ownership applied automatically versus manually is really helpful for informing our direction.
In the meantime, owner filters can still be applied manually on dashboards and individual reports.
We’d love to hear whether the additional ownership granularity in the Customer Success Workspace (e.g., owner-specific views baked into workspace context) provides meaningful value for your workflow.
