Improvement to make MEETING MINUTES more accessible

Hi Hubspot Community ! :tada:

If you’re in Sales, you know that meeting minutes are essential for effective collaboration, action tracking, and overall visibility.

Currently, HubSpot offers two ways to capture meeting minutes:

  1. Adding a comment to an existing meeting activity – This method keeps the minutes linked to the meeting and its timeline, but visibility is limited. You need to click on the comment to view it, making it difficult to get an overview of past meetings.
  2. Adding meeting minutes in the Notes section – While this improves visibility, it isn’t directly connected to the meeting activity and doesn’t allow date modifications. If you log meeting details the next day, the note timestamp remains unchanged.

None of these solutions gives justice to the place deserved by meeting minutes.

My two cents: HubSpot developers should consider improving meeting minutes visibility within the meeting activity details.

PS: I use calendar sync (Microsoft Teams) with HubSpot, which automatically populates the meeting details field with the Teams invitation details. Unfortunately, I can’t modify this content post-meeting without triggering a new invitation—including my notes.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts! I don’t think my case is isolated.

It’s a very basic requirement to be able to view the duration of a Meeting :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

My HubSpot clients have the following requirements:

  • For meeting duration to be automatically calculated based on the difference between the Start and End Date of a meeting
  • To include meeting duration in reports to allow us to compare the time spent in meetings for different Meeting/Call Types
  • To be able to report on time spent preparing for meetings (so the capability to attach an Outlook meeting to a Company or Deal record, without linking it to a specific Contact)

Many thanks in advance. Happy to speak to the Product team to share the details of our collective needs.
