Improve Views & Contact info on view

- Ability to see #Activities by type in the view (# calls, # sales emails, # marketing emails, etc)

- Ability to see marketing emails sent to contact in the contact display emails tab along with sales emails, not just show in activities - very confusing

Hello @DAllen72,

Are you available for a quick call to go over this together?

If yes, you can book a time with me. Happy to assist!

Hi @DAllen72,

Thank you!

@BukunmiOdetayo do you have any tips or workarounds in mind? It would be great if you could share them with the rest of the Community! Thank you!

Thanks for the invite @MiaSrebrnjak,

@DAllen72, you can already find all activities by type (# calls, # sales emails, # marketing emails, etc) in dashboards. Dashboards are more elaborate ways to have these, as you can see much more this way than you would in contact views.

From your hubspot account, navigate to Reports → Dashboards → Create a dashboard and follow the prompts. You can find this resource helpful along the way.

For your second point: “Ability to see marketing emails sent to contact in the contact display emails tab along with sales emails”, I also gave a thought to this over the weekend but I am not sure how appropriate it would be if we could see marketing emails sent to multiple contacts in just one contact’s activities. If you use workflows very well, you would see that you can see all marketing emails that a contact has received in the contact’s activity and history. The same goes with sequences. This is because these marketing and sales emails are peculiar to that contact, unlike the regular marketing emails that you send to multiple and often segmented contacts by using lists. That means you can also use your lists to refine and segment contacts based on some similar properties.

However, if you wish to use contact views to see the marketing emails sent, received, opened, calls, etc. to a contact, just go to add that view. This is how to do that:

From the contacts page, navigate to “add view”.

Then, create new → input the name you want for the view → select whom to share with (only to you, everyone, or your team), and click “save”. Again, from the contacts page, now click on the view you just created. Now, go to “All filters” and select all the properties that you would like to display on that view. See below:

After you’re done, click “Apply filter” and you’re good to go.

Let me know if this helps.

Awesome, thank you @BukunmiOdetayo! :slightly_smiling_face:
