# Import excel contacts not working

Each time I try to import a simple 3 column excel contact info into the Hubspot CRM the preview show all of the first contact whole name in the “First Name” field. Then the next contact whole name is listed in the “Last Name” field. The “email address” field has several email addresses in it.

The chat support person reviewed the file and could not give me any recomendations on what to change. Has anyone else had this issue? Where you able to resolve it?

Hi @JJolly

It’s kinda weird how it previews on the import screen… but you’re on the right track.

When you import they will all be separate contacts.
