Import Deals to associate existing Contacts

Hello

I have some questions on import Deals.

I have a file to import and I want those deals associate contact with custId. I can associate Contacts and Deals when I import 2 files at the same time. However, if I have new orders to associate existing contacts , I don’t know how to associate contact with custId since there is no option for this (custId is the key of Contacts).

Hi @NicoleHsiao,

It looks like in an earlier step of the import process you selected to only import one object (deals). If you want to associate and import information from two objects, you need to select this:

Thanks for reply.

I know I can import 2 files with association.

However, the scenario is that I got new deals for existing contacts.

Should I need to import contacts and deals everytime that I want to associate them?

Or, is there any way that I could import the file of new deals and associate existing contacts with custId (like the image I posted) automatically ?

Correct, you can only establish associations by importing two objects.
