I only get mails from my contacts if they REPLY to an email i just sent to them

So if they send me an email that is NOT replying to an email I send them before, i don’t get their email in my hubspot activities/mail box.

For me that makes no sense. Why should i check my contacts emails on hubspot AND in my mail account ?

I agree this is a little bit confusing. But it is working as designed currently. HubSpot is not intended to replace your inbox - it is really intended to log your email communication with your customers. But by introducing the possibility to send emails out directly from the CRM GUI, I agree this blurs the lines somewhat.
