I need to make a marketing email template a message template

Hello,

We recently sent a marketing email out to a list. We need to be able to create this email as a tempalte to send on one off basis as well. When i try to create this template its not allowing this to be saved under message templates it only saves under marketing. How could I go about getting this saved under message templates instead of marketing?

You can’t, these are fundamentally different, incompatible assets.

You could:

  • Create a plain text version of your email directly as a sales template
  • Use the “Send to more” feature for marketing emails for additional contacts: Send marketing emails to more contacts
  • Create a workflow with an automated cloned version of the email and enroll contacts into the workflow when needed

But there is no way to save a marketing email as a sales template.
