I need to get data from Debtmaster (SQL Anywhere) to Hubspot

Hello all,

We love Hubspot and use it daily but our huge hurdle has been not being able to access most of our data and double (sometimes triple) entry. If we can find a way for the two to communicate that would be a game changer for us.

We have Sales Enterprise and have been rolling out custom objects, but it would be nice to find a sync between the two.

Unfortunately, Debtmaster says that the only way to really get data is through ODBC but I don’t really understand that connectivity method. I want it to be seamless until we can build out Hubspot to do the things that Debtmaster does for us.
We are primarily a B2B business services firm.

Thanks in advance.

Hey @nccgnick does debtmaster have any apis or any way to access data outside of their system? I’m not familiar with the system, but in general there are 3 real ways to get data into HubSpot.

  1. Through the UI itself, IE manually/programatically creating records.
  2. Importing records through a table/spreadsheet.
  3. Through the apis.

The third point is likely what you’re looking for. HubSpot has a wide range of apis that allow third party systems to send and receive data to/from HubSpot. There’s great documentation on these within the developer docs. If debtmaster has apis too you could create an integration that syncs the data between these two systems.

This would require a developer to create and implement, alternatively you could look into systems like census or zapier to try build this with less code, but these would still require apis to implement.

I can’t seem to find anything on debtmaster apis or integrations but if they have these available they can be synced through the HubSpot apis.

Hello TomM2,

From my limited understanding of how it works, the only way to get data out without having to manually export/import, is through an ODBC connection.

Unfortunately they do not have any APIs. I looked into something called Skyvia but it isn’t very user friendly.

Everything seems to be hosted on SQLAnywhere which doesn’t seem to be integration friendly.

I hope this helps answer your questions.

@nccgnick If Debtmaster has the capability of regularly scheduled data exports to Excel or CSV and saving the exported file(s) to a secure cloud folder, it is possible to create an automated process for importing data from Debtmaster to HubSpot. DM me for details.

@nccgnick If Debtmaster has a SQL Server back end, it may be possible to use Hightouch to sync data one way into Hubspot. DM me if you would like to know more. We are a HubSpot partner as well as a Hightouch partner so could assist in the setup.
