Hey everyone,
I’m planning to start my own content marketing agency, but I’m struggling with where to begin and how to structure the foundation properly.
Here’s my current situation:
- I understand digital marketing basics and have some skills in video creation, SEO, and social media.
- I’m confused between focusing fully on content marketing (which requires me to create videos and manage strategy) or starting with SEO and blog-based marketing, which feels easier to begin with but might limit growth.
- My long-term goal is to build a personal brand first, then grow into a full agency offering content + performance marketing services.
My main questions are:
- How should I start — as a freelancer first or directly as a small agency?
- What should my first 3–6 months look like in terms of learning, testing, and client acquisition?
- How can I position myself to attract my first few clients without much past experience or case studies?
Would love to hear advice from anyone who’s built or worked in a content marketing agency — especially around how to structure the early stages and avoid common mistakes.
Thanks in advance for any insights!
