Yes, it looks like LinkedIn is treating posts better that keep people within the platform. External links are interpreted negatively by LinkedIn’s algorithm because it takes the user away from the platform.
That’s why posts about the LinkedIn algorithm usually suggest to add the link as the first comment, not within the post. (I’d be surprised if the developers of LinkedIn haven’t caught onto that yet, however.)
