HubSpot's new design brings your work into focus

Is it possible to switch back? I manage a website from the tech side and work a lot with content, so a new design is a killer for my eyes. Literally, I can work with this for just 10-15 mins, and then my eyes hurt. Terrible from the UI/UX perspective and harmful to the website managers’ health. If nothing changes, we will look for options to migrate to another CMS

This is an absolutely shocking update to HubSpot’s UI.

I saw it in BETA and could not get used to the low contrast, pointless black and white and absent blue and orange.

As a CRM manager I spend my entire day in this app and it’s giving me eye strain on day 2. Worse than that - I genuinely had to dig to find view options I use habitually, all day every day. In deals view - I now have to navigate through 3 clicks to get to “Edit columns” which I need to do multiple times each day. This is the equivalent of when Microsoft decided to simplify Word, and just took off the ribbon an extended functionality like Table of Contents - meaning anyone who uses the app with any level of depth (all CRM Managers!) has to work 3 times as hard to get their tasks done. PLEASE give optional “themes” with levels of contrast we can choose. Please also reconsider the moves you’ve made to take stuff of the GUI that is needed to do business.

The new theme genuinely hurts my eyes and I was forced on it today. It’s fine to roll out a new look, but let people go back if they hate it.

How does a $12 billion dollar company not have the ability to figure out an optional user theme. Seems crazy.

Get rid of grayscale. With AI and millions of dollars worth of developers, you should be able to figure this out in a weekend. Come on, Hubspot…

100% agree. I love Hubspot but this is making me sad :frowning:

A very bizarre choice for the new theme. It almost looks like something is wrong with my monitor settings, and it’s difficult to lock my eyes onto a fixed point due to the color choices (or lack thereof). I’d definitely encourage reverting to the previous colors, which I used to praise, because this is quite terrible. Not a fan, and I hope your frontend design team takes all these replies into consideration.

Please, please, please bring back the old UI—or at least bring back the color.

I’m a huge fan of HubSpot, and I can’t overstate how disappointing this redesign feels. The cool blues and warm oranges didn’t just look great; they made the platform welcoming, intuitive, and easy on the eyes. That visual identity was part of HubSpot’s soul.

Now, it has been replaced by a flat, lifeless sea of millennial gray. This isn’t simply a matter of users needing time to adjust, it feels like a genuine design regression. The UI team fumbled something that was both functional and distinctly HubSpot. Please reconsider the direction and bring the color, warmth, and personality back.

Completely agree. Im in the platform more often than I’m not, and just now I was working on a dashboard and was like uuuugh this is so dreary. And I keep thinking something is wrong with my eyes or the monitor. Like, just make options like practically every other tool out there. I mean…if I can change the color of my Outlook…js

New and improved it is not. It’s like reading a news article with “black” font only. Colors break up the monotony of black and white; it helps the eyes relax. Our eyes have muscle memory and colors give us a place to go back to when working on deals, leads, etc. We should be able to customize our own settings and find Hubspot a place you want to be in.

For the love of God change that depressing theme. It’s like you want us not wanting to work anymore. Bring back the colors

Hard pass on this gloomy no color look. It’s depressing…

I hate everything about this. The new layout makes my job way harder. I prefer list views. I am not a 3 yr-old. Also monochromatic looks are not pleasing to look at or helpful. Absolutely everything about this change sucks.

Can we just get a dark mode, please its 2026

I would greatly appreciate to speak with a member of the team to share some accessibility feedback. In the meantime, here is a link to the official Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 AA.

Completely agree! I was instructed by the HubSpot team to post the feedback that I sent to HubSpot in this thread as well. Here’s the email I sent in about this exact topic yesterday morning when I first opened HubSpot. :

Respectfully, removing all of the colour from HubSpot has made it more difficult to look at. It is now aggressively black and white. This is subjective, but I would say that this change is pretty contrary to the direction that all design is trending toward in 2026. The direction of things right now, from my perspective, is very much to use more colour, not less and complete desaturation in stark blacks, whites, and grays is an aesthetic choice that I think is a bit outdated and that people are moving away from in favour of cozier tones. I wouldn’t have sent this feedback in if I didn’t feel strongly about my eyes looking at this stark contrast all day. I would be very interested in hearing about any plans to introduce some more comfortable-to-look-at themes in the future, or if you have a workaround to revert back to the old colour scheme, I would appreciate your guidance on how to switch back.

Thank you so much! Totally appreciate if the goal was to make HubSpot faster or better!"

HubSpot is definitely faster following this change, which I love, so thank you for that, but it’s also much more difficult and less pleasant to look at, which is important to me and to others on my team since we use it all day.

Hope to see a more relaxing and easier-on-the-eyes theme be introduced.

Thanks!

Please roll this back, it’s very difficult to see details and use now, it hurts our eyes, it’s not user friendly. Surely we can’t be stuck with this!

It is literally soul destroying looking at this all day! Please do something about it asap.

I genuinely did not think hubspot could go backwards, but it has. The grayscale makes me feel like I’m in prison, everything is 10x harder to find and the eye strain is making me less productive.

Hello Hubspot team!
I usually have a hard time using HubSpot because of photophobia and I’m a little disappointed by the lack of a dark mode in each new theme release. The bright white background makes the software difficult for me to use, especially in the deals area. I tried browser plugins to reduce or remove the white background, but they did not work properly. So I adjusted my monitor’s option just to cope with the Hubspot interface, which is too white, but it’s still too bright for me especially when it’s dark outside.
I really hope a dark mode option is added soon :folded_hands: :purple_heart:

I’m not a fan of this new change. Most notably the wasted padding space between the new cards in the deal and contacts view.
If Hubspot won’t help me, maybe I can get :robot: Claude or :robot: Codex to rebuild the old UI  :joy:
