HubSpot's new design brings your work into focus

The company/contact sorting should be easy. I use the filter of “last contacted” and then visually look for any dupes next to each other. Every update I cross my fingers that I can sort by contact!

Deals page on CRM now requires you to select all to view number of deals open at any time, please revert this.

Similarly on deals page, the metrics panel is now hidden in the settings as opposed to previous iteration where we had a button to hide/show depending what deals we were looking at. Please revert this, hiding things in settings is a hit to productivity.

I’ve built plenty of sites with orange as a brand color, and they pass WCAG. How? Use orange as borders, delineators, gradients, highlighters… and wherever text is boldface 24px or larger where it’ll pass contrast with white, if not also with black.

it can be done. it’s honestly not that difficult. it’s bright and usable. and we didn’t have to resort to pastels and asphalt to make it work.

@Sophie_Higgs So with the mobile app upgrades, will we finally be able to adjust pricing and discounts on a deal or do we still have to operate off both systems if we want to make those changes?

Interacting with this new dreadful, colorless interface is genuinely depressing. I used to actually enjoy logging into HubSpot. Now it feels like they’ve deliberately created a bleak, drizzly-rain kind of experience where joy has been removed as a design principle.

Please bring the color back. I need cheering up.

Not one person on our entire team is happy right now with the colour removal. The new gray-on-gray interface is causing eye strain. Removing the color contrast and headers makes it hard to navigate the CRM because it is washed out, and the lack of distinct visual boundaries forces us to strain just to read as we ‘skim over things’. For very visual people please urgently prioritise having other theme options to choose from.

Please bring back colour and visual status indicators

I’ve been using HubSpot regularly and I really don’t like the direction of the new interface.

I understand that HubSpot wants to modernise the CRM, but removing so much colour has made the interface harder to scan and, in my opinion, less usable.

The colour in the previous interface wasn’t just cosmetic. It provided useful visual cues. Red immediately indicated something that needed attention, green indicated completion, links stood out, and buttons/actions were much easier to identify.

With the new grey/black/white design, so much of the interface now has the same visual weight. I find myself having to actually read the screen rather than being able to quickly scan it and understand what’s important.

Please either bring back the previous colour system or, ideally, give users the option to choose their own theme/colour scheme.

I don’t expect HubSpot to abandon the whole redesign, but users should have some control over how the CRM looks and how important information is visually represented.

The new design doesn’t need to be scrapped. Just please give us our visual hierarchy back.

Not to be dramatic but I actually want to cry. I keep telling myself it’s not that bad but it really is. Depressing. Lifeless. Why do Hubspot hate their customers? I don’t even want to look at it. Looking for alternatives immediately!

When you say “future” iterations, what are you thinking? Today, tomorrow, a week from now, a month from now, or not confirmed. Reading all the comments should be interpreted as urgency. You have customers who invested in expensive plans, people with disabilities, sales and admin teams, amongst many others.

Again, I would take the disability community seriously. Once the complaints reach higher numbers from users who identify of living with a disability, HubSpot can potentially be sued for non-compliance.

I am an Accessibility Advisor. THANKS SO MUCH for your thorough explanation which is greatly needed. I am extremely disturbed of accessibility being an afterthought…or not considered at all.

I actually chose HubSpot over Zoho due to its better UI and design as a person living with a disability. What a disgrace for HubSpot not to consider the disability community.

The team is continuing to refine colors, but any additional feedback in terms of accessibility concerns we’re taking very seriously. Please let me know if you’d like to speak with a member of the team to be able to provide feedback directly.

Sorry for replying to an old thread but our account just got switched to the new color scheme and even though it doesn’t seem like the placement of anything changed, it feels so hard to navigate.

I didn’t realize how much work the colors of the system were doing to help direct me to parts of the profile I use constantly and now that it’s all black, white, and flat, it feels like having to learn a whole new system and it’s taking me twice as long to perform my daily tasks and followups because of it.

I appreciate the improvements hubspot is making and I’m sure there are people who appreciate the change to monochromatic but for the sake of my productivity please, please give us the option to choose the old theme! :folded_hands:

Please change it back! Gray on Gray is sad and so hard to read. I LOVED the old interface it was beautiful and perfect and easy on the eyes and fun to work in. This is not a matter of getting used to a new look this is a matter of taking something that once had so much life and making it lifeless.
