We are looking at HubSpot as our new CRM system and I want to know how a person from our Customer Department can transfer a potential lead from Zendesk to the Sales department in HubSpot, without creating a new contact as this will generate a lot of fake profiles.
EDIT: A good number of the clients do not generate ticket with their original email which due to different reasons and thats why my concenrc is that we will have a lot of duplicate contacts which will mess up with our statistic, report, etc
You could create a deal in HS with a custom property where the name is populated. You won’t need to create (and link) a contract that way.
disclaimer: Not all apps in the marketplace allow customisations that exceed the regular flow. We use our own integration tool Traffix for transfering data allowing full control.
@NKolev in HubSpot, the Contact record is based on the email address. So anything you push from Zendesk to HubSpot, with the email as the identifier, will not create a duplicate contact. In the HubSPot App Marketplace, you’ll find a couple integration options, too.
I’ve missed very important details while writing my question (added in the post now). A good number of the clients do not generate ticket with their original email which due to different reasons and thats why my concenrc is that we will have a lot of duplicate contacts which will mess up with our statistic, report, etc.
That may be an issue indeed @NKolev. HubSpot does allow merging and multiple emails, so your team can manage data and contacts manually. Data management is often kind of a drag, but I don’t know of any system the magically knows a contact with a different email is the same contact.
I’d still explore the HubSpot + Zendesk integration documentation to see if what you’re looking to do is a simple, standard function. It may be right there in the integration. Here’s hoping!
